VB: Student Princes swept by No. 17 Hope

SPRINGFIELD -- Heidelberg University volleyball dropped their final match at the Wittenberg Fall Classic to No. 17 Hope College in straight sets on Saturday morning.

The Flying Dutchmen swept all three sets, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21 to take the match 3-0. With the loss, Berg drops to 7-5 on the year, while Hope improved to 9-1.

Alyssa Crusey had an impactful performance offensively. She collected 11 kills on a .333 hitting percentage and one service ace. Amy Feczer, Morgan Strenk, and Maddie Szawranskyj contributed a combined 16 kills. Anna McNabb set up 27 assists, along with three service aces and three digs.

Taylor Arbogast collected 12 digs in the quick, three-set match. Sydney Moore and Strenk combined for 11 digs in the back row.

Heidelberg committed 37 combined errors to set them behind on the morning.

The Student Princes are back in action on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. when Denison University visits Tiffin for a non-conference match.
