Women 8th, Men 10th at #JennaStrong Fall Classic

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Dylan Dombi and Dani Blum continued to lead the Heidelberg University cross country teams.  Dombi placed 11th in the men's race of the #JennaStrong Fall Classic, helping lift The Berg to a 10th place finish in the 38-team field.  Blum's 14th-place finish propelled the women's team to eighth place in the 43-team field.

Dombi clocked a time of 26:02.52, the best time among competitors from the Ohio Athletic Conference. 

Isaac Kuntz was the second 'Berg harrier to cross the finish line.  Kuntz's 27:08.24 time was good for 54th place. 

Zach Flint (27:28.50), Nick Jones (27:49.61) and Brandon McNeil (28:16.33) also scored points for HU, finishing in 68th, 90th and 115th place. 

Like Dombi, Blum's time of 19:03.02 was the best mark among OAC runners.

Rachel House finished in 22nd place with a time of 19:14.22.  Close behind, Hayley Cochran came in 30th with a time of 19:29.68. 

Shawnda Henault (20:12.04) and Allie Dresser (20:42.26) rounded out the Heidelberg's top five with 74th-place and 102nd-place finishes. 

The #JennaStrong Fall Classic is held in memory of Jenna Parlette, a Wilmington College cross country runner who collapsed during a race last year and passed away.

Heidelberg will take a week off before the OAC Championships on November 1, hosted by John Carroll University.
